Meeting Tonight
to Plan Our Club's Centennial Year
There will be a meeting of anyone interested at Don Pablos this evening at 8:00 p.m. to discuss plans for our Club's centennial anniversary in 1920-21.  Please join Dan Johnson and Anthony Nordan, President and President-elect, if you can!
The Point is Roses, Roses, Roses!
So far we have orders for 382 dozen of the 400 dozen that will be delivered late Wednesday night.  Hopefully a few more dozen will be sold between now and Thursday morning and we can sell the rest to people coming into Service Food on Thursday.  But we need an extremely accurate count of how many are presold before we sell any at the store, so you need to provide an updated count and turn in all your vouchers, the left side for those sold and the whole voucher for those unsold,  no later than tomorrow, with or without the money.  We don't want money being turned in on Thursday at the store, so either turn it in tomorrow or get it to Bob Russell's office on Wednesday or as soon after Thursday as possible.  Ryan Welle will be at the club meeting tomorrow to take your vouchers and your money; bring it in an envelope with your name on the outside with the number sold, number unsold and amount of money you are turning in, sealed, so we can keep track of everything.  If you can't get to the meeting then get it to Bob Russell's office.  We will have a sign-up sheet for workers Thursday starting at noon; Sunrise club members have filled the morning spots.  Thank you for your efforts!  If after you turn in your vouchers you sell any more, text Bob at 218-205-6944 with the name of to whom you sold and whether you or the purchaser will be picking the roses up on Thursday; I will then fill out a voucher to reflect the sale.

Is all that perfectly clear?
November 6, 2019 at Rotary
Scott Schroeder was our greeter and Katie Johnson checked us in.  Tim Hunt offered the invocation while Keith Olson led us in song.  Before breaking early to deliver Elmer & Andy books to second graders, we heard from John MacFarlane who reported that Wally Cole was turning 80 the next day, indicating that he should be treated with the reverence and awe due someone of that age.  Then John added that his birthday followed Wally's by one day, to which we spontaneously sang Happy Birthday -- for Wally too if it was not for one of his rare absences (for which I am confident he will make up).  Brian Tjaden, Keith Olson's guest for now (see below), reported he had been in California visiting the sun for a couple weeks -- not a son, if I heard correctly.  Dave Johnson also bragged about his youngest brother's grandson shooting a nice buck on the home farm, while Mary Pettit reported that Keller Williams was hosting "Soup's On" at the Alt Event Center on North Union tomorrow from 11:30 to 1:30, giving the realtors a chance to fix and serve soup to clients and prospective clients, encouraging us to stop in either before or after our meeting.  Mary also reported that Dance and Dessert is coming up on December 7 and 8.
New Member Proposed
Brian Tjaden has been proposed for membership by Keith Olson with the classification of Marketing-Radio.  If no objection to his membership is received by an officer or Board member within seven days he will be asked to join our club.
