The Rotary International Convention will be held from June 12 - 16, 2021. All virtual, an International Convention is an amazing experience and this opportunity also makes the cost of participating minimal. The registration cost is $65.00, but if you register by 11:59:59 on Friday, May 7, 2021, the registration fee is only $49.00. And our Club has committed $400 to defraying the registration expense, $20 per member up to 20 members, so all you have to do is e-mail a copy of your e-mail confirmation of registration to Randy Kempfer and you will be reimbursed or credited $20.00 on your next statement. To find out information and register for the Convention, just do an internet search of "Rotary International Convention." Once you go to the site and hit the link to register, you will need to fill in your contact information as well as what kind of attendee you are ("General Attendee"), and the name of our club -- Fergus Falls, Minnesota Noon Rotary. You will also be asked your membership number, but that is not a mandatory field. If, however, you want to enter it and don't have it you can text or e-mail Bob Russel (218-205-6944) and he will get it to you. Registration entitles you to unlimited access to all events, including the opening ceremony (Saturday June 12th from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.), a general session (Sunday, June 13th from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.) , 20 breakout sessions (scheduled from the 12th to the 16th), the closing session (Wednesday, June 16th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.), and access to the House of Friendship. The Virtual House of Friendship will be a place to connect with fellow Rotarians about projects, chat with staff, shop and explore exhibitor booths. Other activities include meet and greets with leaders, virtual cooking classes, Rotary trivia contests, a virtual photo booth, a 5K walk, and a DJ dance party. |
