Rotary Meetings
Today at Rotalry
We are going to gather at the Salvation Army and eat lunch over on the west side and then drive out to Tag-Up and get acquainted with that business.
What's Been Going On
1.  We all should be selling Lucky Duck Derby tickets with the menagerie to be released from their non-racing confines on July 13th at 5:00 p.m.
2.  We have been asked to provide a volunteer in the Salvation Army kitchen every Thursday from 11:30 to 12:30 to assist Ricki with an increased number of lunch guests.
3.  You are reminded that your Rotary brag/fine cards will expire as of June 30, 2023, so use yours up and buy a new one for our next Rotary year.
4.  President Ken will recap his year leading our club at our meeting on June 28th; be sure to attend!
5.  We have had many brags or self-imposed fines the past two weeks:  Mary announcing and celebrating the success of the dance shows and a granddaughter being confirmed; Buzz and Hal for missing a couple meetings; Dave for celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary; Wally also for his 59th wedding anniversary and enjoying his granddaughter's dance recital; Pete for his sophomore niece competing in the state Class 2A golf tournament; Deb Maertens for her first grandchild graduating from high school; Tim for all his yard work and having survived Desta "working his *** off; Mark, Jamie and Mary paying scooter bucks, with Mark also complimenting the dance recital; and Keith for moving 10,500 pounds of sand from their lake lot driveway to the shoreline.
6.  We celebrated Anthony Nordan's time with us as he and his family head off to Duluth to lead Salvation Army there.  John MacFarlane commented on recognizing how hard a job leading our Salvation Army is, having watched and been involved in its doings now for over twenty years.  The Salvation Army has changed a lot of lives for the better in our community and Anthony has led the way these past five or six years.  Thank you Anthony!

9.  On June 14, Katie Johnson introduced State Representative Jeff Backer to talk about this past legislative session.  You can contact him at rep.jeff.backer@house.mn.gov.
