FM AM Rotary club is happy to announce, club member Alicia Belay, has been named Rotarian of the Year.  Alicia's passion for serving the community and region through Rotary is remarkable.  She has been instrumental in creating programs that have provided opportunities to people regionally and globally.  Most recently, she partnered with five Native American committees throughout a five state area to provide mothers-to-be prenatal education, resources and care.  Alicia is a true example of Rotary's four way test and she routinely puts "Service above Self".  Congratulations!

Fargo Rotary showers blessings on the Legacy Children's Foundation

For the past three years, the Fargo Rotary has demonstrated and provided countless acts and gifts of encouragement to students in the Legacy Children's Foundation. Together, students and adults have partnered to deliver groceries to hungry children, rebuilt bikes, tied blankets for the homeless and refurbished property on the LCF site. Waiting on Legacy students at the annual LCF Academic Awards Dinner gives a powerful message of affirmation and appreciation to young people.  "Showing kids the way they should go" is not just provided in a check, but in the presence of adults who show up to interact, converse and share time together in meaningful ways with teens who often feel unimportant.
The Fargo Rotary recently presented to Puja Chhetri, President of LCF a check for $1000. Gifts of $100 or more by the end of the year are matched 2:1 by a lead gift of $25,000. Teamwork and partnerships between intergenerational agencies who actively work to make Fargo a healthy, welcoming community for everyone is a true reflection of "Peace on Earth: Good Will To Men".
