This is a project of Conservation Volunteers NZ which we took part in last year along with the R.C. of Wellington and assorted volunteers.  We joined in on some Saturday planting days on Mount Victoria and will do so again this year. The dates are 17 August, 31 August, 7 September
This is a project of Conservation Volunteers NZ which we took part in last year along with the R.C. of Wellington and assorted volunteers.  We joined in on some Saturday planting days on Mount Victoria and will do so again this year. The dates are 17 August, 31 August, 7 September.

Whether you want a forest there, or to contribute towards the RI tree planting goal, or the Government's goal of planting more trees, or just to save the planet, this is an opportunity to contribute to all of these good things. Details from Kellie Benner, Regional Manager Conservation Volunteers.
We will meet on site at 9:30 A.M.  Details of the actual site for each Saturday will be advised the week before. Down tools at 2 P.M. Don't worry if you can't stay on until 2pm - even a couple of hours contribution will be much appreciated. Please bring gardening gloves, water bottle, sturdy shoes/boots, and warm clothes.  Bring your family, friends or anybody that values trees or ecology. ‘Conservation Volunteers New Zealand’ will organise us and provide tools, plants, full health and safety briefing, and a limited number of gloves. You are welcome to bring your own spade, but these will also be provided.
