Skyline Rotary Meets weekly on Fridays at 12:00 PM.
We will be meeting both virtually using Zoom and/or in person at the Duluth YMCA:
There will not be a meeting this Friday 10/24. The District Conference is being held at the Holiday Inn with Friday 10:30 start of registration and House of Friendship. Programs go until 5:00 wth the Icebreaker starting at 6:00 at the Depot. There is another full day of sessions on Saturday with a Pub Crawl of the Craft District at 4:00 and hospitality hour at 5:30 at the DECC followed by music at 7:00.
Our Guests last week were; Student Rotarians from Proctor Malikia Brostrom and from Hermantown Madison Zagelemeyer, Superior Rotarian Dr Bob, Clara and Arlo Leutgeb, and Cindy and Eila Sward. Thank you to Jason and the Minnesota Ballet for providing our program on short notice. What an amazing program it was. The Ballet is in its 60th season and they will perform Giselle this Friday through Sunday at the UMD Marshall Performing Arts Center. We were treated to the story of Giselle by Executive Director Karl von Rabenau and then experienced some of the dance performances. We were fortunate to be in a studio setting where the dancers were just a few yards away. Following the performance the dancers answered our questions. Most have been dancing for 17-19 years.
Following our program a small crew cleaned the highway.
Our next meeting back at the YMCA is on Holloween. Costumes are optional.
October is Rotary International Community Economic Development Month.
