This week's meeting on November 4th will be back at the YMCA and our speaker will be Jennifer Cady from Allete. She will speak about the success of their corporate DEI efforts and the recognition that they have received for their efforts. Duties will be; Invocation - Deb Almirall, Fellowship - Jim Curtis, and Greeter - Dave Michelson.
Thursday, November 3rd at 1:00 there will be a ribbon cutting at the Hermantown Community Learning Center to celebrate the completion of the new playground including the stage/shelter project. Attend if you can and watch for a story that evening on the news. Trish brought the project to the Club, and the Club got it built. Kids will use and enjoy it for decades to come. Another significant community service project by Skyline.
The Club worked hard and managed another fantastic, fun, and successful Rock the Skyline Concert. If you stand back and think about all of the parts and pieces that have to come together for the concert to be a success, it is an amazing feat for a Rotary Club to accomplish. Special thank yous go to Lisa and the committee, Tim for his expertise and direction, Suzanne and Trish (our own costume queen) for the costume contest, Kris for the silent auction, and Greg for wrangling the volunteers. It couldn't happen without the efforts of so many members of the Club and our sponsors. Well done everyone!
Next week on Tuesday the 8th is Election Day. Minnesota has a proud history of high voter turnout. Do your civic duty and vote.
November is Rotary Foundation Month.
Thought for the Week
