This week's meeting on November 18th will be at the YMCA and our speakers will be our own Ross Peterson speaking on The Rotary Foundation and John Collopy author and speaker from RE/MAX Results. Duties will be; Invocation - Russ Salgy, Fellowship - Rob Shamblott, and Greeter - Brian Tasky.  

 

Next week Friday the 25th there will be no meeting due to the Thanksgiving weekend. 

 

This is the second publishing of Lindsey Whitlinger to become our newest member of Skyline Rotary Club. There will be a Past Presidents meeting and Lindsey will be inducted this Friday.  

 

December is a busy month. Please watch the Club calendar on the website for our activities and meetings. 

 

We had a wonderful group large group of 31 attending last week's meeting.  Guests were Susan Meyer, Dan Dock, Colton Suihkonen, and Student Rotarian guests; From Proctor Felany Kirkpatrick,  Sophie Lynn, and Gabe Foucault. From Hermantown Colten Danelski. 

Our own Russ Salgy spoke about the proposed youth recreation and senior center being planned for the west end. Russ spoke about how underserved youth and seniors are in the west end and how that impacts shortening of lives, lower graduation rates, and crime. In previous generations there were more options for youth and seniors provided by the City and Foundations. A facility is needed to provide youth recreation opportunities and daycare to prevent the current problem of, "angry and depressed kids". 

  

November is Rotary Foundation Month.
