We will meet this Friday 7/18 at the YMCA. Our program will be a presentation by Harbortown Rotarian Greg Wegler. Greg will be talking about Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a non-profit that builds and provides beds for people in need. Duties this week are: Invocation - Judy Rogers, Fellowship - Jim.
This Thursday the 17th is YMCA Block Party from 5:00 - 7:00 (some food prep can start at 3:00). Please please all Skyliners sign up and show up to help. Bring family and friends to help too. Check with Kevin. Looks like we will have Skyline peach shirts and peach signs for the Block Party. Thank you to all who helped to make that happen.
RYLA is this week at the University of Minnesota Crookston. There are 70 exceptional and energetic students studying leadership. Mark will tell more when he returns.

Brian told us more about the Block Party. The Girl Scouts have a role and Cirrus is a sponsor and will have some volunteers there. Jason asked Clara Leutgeb to come forward to be recognized as our Club's newest Paul Harris Fellow. Her "auntie Debbie" held her close so that she wouldn't be scared. Very sweet. Garret sent the message that this year's In Line Marathon is scheduled for September 13th if we wish to put a team of volunteers together. The program was a video of new RI President Francessco Arezzo speaking from the RI Convention in Calgary. There were a couple of late changes that lead to President Arezzo being selected only three weeks before the start of the new Rotary year. He had been interviewed three years ago, but was not selected until RIPE Mario Cesar Martins de Camargo resigned and then the RIPN had health issues.
I heard from PDG Kay Biga that the Pachel Foundation she manages will be sponsoring a night at the Duluth Playhouse again this Fall on September 11. The musical will be "Million Dollar Quartet" set on December 4, 1956 at Sun Records in Memphis when Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Elvis Presley had a jam sesssion. This will be free to Rotarians and guests. Be there or be square.
