We will meet this Friday 12/6 at the YMCA. President Elect Kevin Kalligher will present his Board for 2025-2026. We will induct John Senich into the Club and hear about his family, career, and interests.
We will be working with the Hermantown Elemantary School for our Holiday Family again this year. The teachers asked that we provide the gifts to them by December 12th at the latest. They also asked that we not wrap the gifts, but just identify them with tags for the sex and age for the three kids. We will change our plans and shop, label, and deliver the gifts on Thursday the 12th. Our task will be quicker so let's shop at 9:00, go back to the YMCA to label the gifts, and then deliver them to the Hermantown Elementary school.
The Holiday family auction will remain on Friday, December the 13th.
The Club December Board meeting is on Tuesday, December 10th at noon at the MPECU office.
The Life House Christmas/Holiday Dinner is December 18th. Skyline provides cookies. They need lots of cookies (chocolate chip, Sugar, or any other except no nuts please). Please put 6 of the same type of cookie in a ziplock bag
(we can do this on site too). Plan to deliver to Life House by 2:30 or ask Mark to pick up. These young people really appreciate having a safe place to go for a really nice Holiday meal. Thank you Skyliners.
Today working with folks from Club 25 we set up and decorated Christmas trees at the Boys and Girls Club. The latchkey kids came by buses to enjoy the decorations and eat cookies and drink milk. These are kids who can use all of the positive attention from the community that they can get.
The Twin Ports Rotaract Club met this evening. They are doing service projects and UWS is ready to launch their Club. Club leaders are visiting Downtown this week and Harbortown in February.
December is Rotary International Disease Prevention and Treatment Month.
