We will meet this Friday, November 3rd at the YMCA. November is Foundation Month. This Friday will be our Foundation Day meeting led by our Founbdation Committee Chairperson, Jason Young. Duties will be: Invocation - Jay Ferguson, Greeter - Judy Harrison, and Fellowship - Joe Dusek.
This Friday we will have special guests Josephine Johnson and her father David. Josephine is a student at Proctor High School and is planning to be an outbound exchange student sponsored by our Club next year.
Last week's Paul Harris Dinner was well attended by Skyliners and all of the other Twin Ports Clubs. Special thanks to Superior and Harbortown Clubs for organizing the event and to DG Dave Long and District Foundation Committee Chair Tim LeClair and PDG Keith Brooke for presenting on the Foundation. The Keynote speaker was Dick Beardsly, a rural Minnesotan who famously won Grandma's marathon twice and nearly won the Boston Marathon. His story of world fame in distance running is followed by a series of tragic accidents, heartbreak, and addiction. His resiliancy and optimism provided an inspiring message of hope.
October is Rotary Community Economic and Development Month.
