This week's meeting will be held at the YMCA. This will be a hybrid meeting. The presentation will be a brief Rotary video. Trish Crego will be inducted into the Club. Following the video for anyone who is interested we will walk through features of Clubrunner and answer questions. Duties are: Invocation - Todd Peyton and Fellowship - Tom Meyer.
Guest at last week's meeting was Suzanne Anderson who will transfer to our Club from Club 25. The presentation was by Tammy Sundbom, Resource Development Director for the Boys & Girls Club of the Northland. Tammy showed a video of the kids that they regularly work with. It is truly all about the kids and preparing them for success in their futures.
Bob Sherman was inducted into the Club as our newest member by Earl and assisted by Judy. Bob has a strong Rotary history of service, and he will be a significant addition to our Club.

Next week's meeting will be at the YMCA with program TBD.
Earl has Club 25 Rose tickets for sale, and he will deliver the ordered roses to the Club on Friday, October 15th.
The Starter Kit of materials for the Kids Literacy program arrived this week. They are fabulous. I will bring them to the meeting on Friday for all to review and discuss promoting with Hermantown and Proctor elementary schools.
Be sure to check out The Reader this week. The front cover has a picture of grapes in the Blackhoof Estate Winery. Blackhoof is owned by Skyline PP Terry Heggemeier and his wife Cheryl. He presented a program about a year ago. This Friday there will be a wine tasting from 4-6:00 at Super One in West Duluth.
Last Saturday a work crew completed demo work on the raised bed gardens at Laura MacArthur Elementary School just before the rain started. This Saturday a crew is needed to rebuild the structures. Work starts at 10:00 until the work is done. 720 N Central Ave, Duluth, MN 55807 on the south side of the building.
October is Rotary Community Economic Development Month. New RI President Shekhar Mehta says, "When we work to improve the lives of people in underserved communities - through, for example, projects that provide vocational training and access to financial resources - we help build and sustain local economic growth".
