This Friday 4/8 we will meet at the YMCA, and it will be a hybrid meeting. Our presenter will be Duluth Police Department Deputy Chief Mike Ceynowa. Sarah Boynton will be inducted as our newest member. Duties are: Invocation - Jay Ferguson and Fellowship - Brian Tasky.
Bob Sherman is in Warsaw, Poland. He is working primarily with Club Fryderyk Chopin on a school for Ukrainian children refugees. Thank you to our Club members and our other donors for your generosity. This is being called the greatest humanitarian crisis since the World War II. Our
Club and Rotary International are responding. We can be proud to be Rotarians.
Our April Board meeting is next week Wednesday, the 13th and it will be held in-person at the Bent Paddle Taproom upstairs meeting room, and by Zoom starting at 4:00. All Club members are welcome to attend.

We heard from President Matt about plans for his and Kris' trip to Scotland for the Rotary Fellowship Curling Bonspiel. They will return on April 17th, and we expect to hear some great Rotary stories. Greg asked and the Club agreed to do setup July 14th and tear down July 17th for the Air Show. Last year we raised nearly $800. The first week in May starting on the 6th will be our Club's Blood Drive week at the Memorial Blood Center office in the Burning Tree Plaza. Please invite family and friends to schedule to donate that week. When you schedule at 888-448-3253, let the Center know that you are donating for Skyline Rotary.
Jeremy Jeannette was last year's President of Harbortown Rotary Club. Jeremy explained that their Club's involvement in the Kraus-Anderson Duluth Bike Festival was intended to replace the Dragon Boat Festival as their major fundraiser. COGGS and the KA Foundation are the other major beneficiaries of the Festival's funding. This year the Festival is scheduled for the weekend of August 5-7. The lower chalet at Spirit Mountain is the headquarters for activities. The hope is to grow the Festival to become a Destination Bike Event. There are already activities for all ages. 350-400 riders are expected this year. They will need over 200 volunteers with sign up at signup.com. Skyline can help with volunteers and by suggesting potential sponsors. Thank you to Jeremy and Scott for bringing the program to us.
Amber Lewis (David's spouse) was interviewed on Almanac North last weekend. She spoke about Urban Rural Action that she works on through a Fellowship from Lead for America with Northspan. For more information go to northspan.org Work "Q&A With Lead for Minnesota Fellow Amber Lewis".
The Rotary Club of Superior is holding their 10th Annual Craft Beer & Wine Event on Wednesday, April 27 from 6:00 - 9:00 at Barker's Island Inn $20 per ticket. Their online auction is April 25 - May 1 www.biddingowl.com/superiorrotary.
