Guests last week were: Susan Meyer, Hermantown Student Rotarian Broden Bruhjell and John's son Ethan Senich. 

Student Rotarian Broden was on the news this week speaking as head of the Hermantown Robotics team. Mark talked about attending the Northwoods Night Out which announced the merger of Northwood Children Services and Valley Youth Center. Russ did a great job of bantering with Viking CJ Hamm. As always, job well done for the kids Russ. 

Tom and Susan told us about their trip back to Belize on a second mission trip organized by St. Benedict's. They explained that a group of 20 from Mankato goes down ahead and orders materials from a local hardware store which holds the materials and tools so that the groups can work on repair and new construction projects while they are there. The construction of housing is simple and basic. Water, sewer, and electricity isn't installed until housing is built and after a road is built. They repaired houses and continued to build a house for women escaping domestic problems. The jobs are mostly working for the goverment or the tourist industry. The area and the islands have tremendous natural beauty. The children go to school and love the attention that the crew provides. Thank you Tom and Susan for your presentation and for your generosity of spirit.
