We will meet this Friday, May 17th at the YMCA. Our Student Rotarians will run the meeting this week. Our presenters will be Sophie Hillmeyer and Amber Sadowski from Life House. Duties by the Student Rotarians.
At today's Board meeting we discussed the 50th Year End Celebration and Changing of the Guard plans. We approved funding for the Proctor football program, the Hermantown Grad Party and sponsorship for the Lester River Rendezvous. We are hoping for RYLA student applications from Proctor and planning a first couple of organizing meetings for this Fall's Twin Ports Rotaract Club restart. We discused our busy upcoming week of service work with the Airshow set up on Thursday morning, the Chamber of Commerce FUSE new member event on Thursday evening, and the Saturday afternoon Bent Paddle Festiversary volunteering. Garret checked out a couple of projects at Aftenro at Deb's request.
Last Friday's meeting was informal. We ate and talked and headed out to clean up the highway. A good crew dodged the sprinkles and completed the spring cleaning.
May is Rotary International Youth Services Month. Youth bring energy and enthusiasm to our Clubs. Rotary provides many opportunities for youth including Student Rotarians, Youth Exchange, Scholarships, The 4-Way Essay Contest, Interact and Rotaract, and many more.
