Board meeting Wednesday at 4:00.
This Friday we will shop at 6:00 AM at Walmart for holiday families. GREG'S PHONE # IS 218-393-2900. At noon we will wrap presents and eat pizza at the YMCA at noon. Judy will bring wrapping paper and tape, but please bring SCISSORS. At 2:00 we will meet at the Duluth Fire Department #1 on Mesaba to deliver a check from Rock the Skyline. That evening will also be our holiday party at the Aquarium. Social Hour starts at 6:00. Leave time to park and let the parking attendant know that you are with the Rotary party. Dinner at 7:00 catered by OMC Smokehouse. Masks are required in the Aquarium except as we are eating.
Guests at last week's meeting were: Lila (Trish Crego's Daughter), Aaron Nicolson from Proctor High School and Tiara from Marshall School, David Lewis, Jay Walker (Eco Rotary member) and Alexis Berke our presenters from the Great Lakes Aquarium.

Walker the Executive Director and Alexis Berke the Director of Learning and Engagement.
Their mission is, "Connecting people to the natural environment". Their new exhibits such as Raptor Ridge have won awards from the National Association of Interpretation. They have made efforts to remove barriers to access to their programs whether they were physical or financial. Their programs for pre-school kids through college level environmental education students learn through play and the lens of Lake Superior. The program ended with a very fun learning through play experience with Club volunteers demonstrating role playing learning.
Greg has organized bell ringing on December 14th at Noodles in the Mall from 10:00 - 8:00.
Our annual Holiday Auction is Friday December the 17th. Joe Dusek and Hugo Hietapelto have graciously agreed to be the auctioneers. Gifts should be wrapped (some folks are much better at this) and should be in the $25 range. Proceeds help fund the Holiday Families and this meeting has a history of being a fun holiday event.
The date for the Christmas dinner at Life House has changed to Tuesday, December 21. We will be providing cookies.
Earl mentioned that Dr. Bob from Superior Rotary wants to write a book on Rotary stories. More to come on this.
December is Rotary Disease Prevention and Treatment Month.
