Bring your favorite phillips head srewdriver to screw together changing room benches after our meeting.  Duties this week; Invocation - Jason and Fellowship - Lindsey.

The Board met today. The Changing of the Guard will be held at the Pike Lake Golf and Beach Club on Thursday, June 18th. David reported that the Club is in good financial shape. He noted receipts from the last meat raffle. Kudos to Tim and the Club. There are lots of upcoming service projects and a couple more, the Alzheimers Walk and landscaping at Aftenro will be added. Jason spoke about the Rocky Run Trail cleanup on June 2nd, and the World's Largest Polio Walk on October 24th that he will work with the other Twin Ports Clubs to arrange (bring your Mukaluks). Programs or projects are schduled until July 10th in case you would like to invite someone to come speak to the Club.We will vote on next year's Board at our meeting on May 29th. Kevin showed us a picture of students in Santa Maria de Jesus holding the computers that our generous Club provided. Tim lost his voice over the weekend and so wasn't able to give us an update on last weekend's Festiversary.

The Gaga Pit lumber pile has arrived at the YMCA. We are scheduled to build it on June 5th.

Guests last week were: Georgia Lane and Cameron Kadlubowski from ECO3, Susan Meyer, and Maddie Schumacher.
We were hosted by the Caddy Shack and had pizza and cupcakes to celebrate Deb's and Todd's birthdays. Maddie shared that she will be submitting her application for a Peace Scholarship on the 14th. Mark submitted his recommendation today. Let's all think positive thoughts about her acceptance and the further impact that she could make on peace building. There will be an all Twin Ports picnic at Enger Park on Thursday, July 2nd at noon.
Georgia Lane from ECO3 spoke about aging. She talked about the changing demographics of aging in our society in comparison to a housing stock that was built primarily for young families. She spoke about accessabilty and falling issues in existing homes exaccerbated by diseases of aging such as hearing loss, mobility issues, and heart disease. She handed out an AARP Home Fit Guide to help make homes safe for older adults.Cameron is the Energy Program Manager at ECO3. He provides residential energy audits and home retrofits to improve the energy efficiency of homes. He provides services on a sliding fee scale and helps with funding options from government and utility rebate programs. Thank you to Georgia and Cameron for a great program. ECO3 is a great asset to our community.
