I delayed publishing the Skyliner until after attending this morning's Harbortown meeting featuring Segundo Velasquez, Chairperson of the Board of Mano a Mano. Skyline has worked with Harbortown to support Mano a Mano healthcare clinics and well drilling projects in Bolivia for more than a decade. Bolivia is the second poorest country in our hemisphere after Haiti. Twenty seven years ago when the projects started the life expectancy in Bolivia was forty-eight years. Now it is up to the mid-sixties. Infant mortality rates have dropped as dramatically as well. This is the direct result of the building of 276 health care facilities in rural areas of Bolivia. The most recent clinic in Sarufaya was completed last November. In the early years Mano a Mano funded the half of the staffing of the clinics they built, but now the Bolivian government has committed to funding all of the staffing of the clinics. Skyliners should be proud of our help to fund these clinics that have made such a dramatic improvement in the lives of so many Bolivian people.

December is Rotary Disease Prevention and Treatment Month.
Just FYI, our family was able to gather safely this Christmas because testing kits were available. A rapid test kit containing two tests was available at Sam's Club for $14. I understand that they are also available at other retailers as well.
