This Friday we will meet at Boulder Lake Environmental Learning Center. For those of you with GPS the address is 7328 Boulder Lake Road. Take Rice Lake Road past Island Lake Inn to a left onto Boulder Dam Road and then a right on Boulder Lake Road. We will put out Rotary signs. This will be a hybrid meeting as well. We will forego our usual duties in the interest of scoping out future projects. Lunch will be served.
Next week we will meet at the Boys and Girls Club Camp on Island Lake to have lunch, assemble a wood shed, and have some fun.
Long time past Skyliner Dr. Clyde Finch is retiring from his dental practice. There will be a celebration at Piedmont Dental on Wednesday, July 28 from 5:30-7:30 pm. RSVP at 722-0823.
Mark will have Rotary lawn signs and peach tickets with him at this Friday's meeting.
Last week we were hosted by Duluth Cider and had a barbecue lunch. Thank you to Duluth Cider and Tim for grilling. We heard that the final hurdle for the Nigerian Clinic project grant was completed and that the water well and holding tank are now under construction. The Club should be proud to be spearheading an International project again. Spirit Valley Days parade is on August 5 and our Club will be taking part. Maybe a float, maybe a booth, but we will be there. Keep tuned for an announcement from Garret about an upcoming golf social outing.
July is Rotary New Leadership Month.
The theme of the new Rotary year is: Serve to Change Lives.
Thought for the Day
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead

See you on Friday at Boulder Lake Learning Center.
This is a sneak peek of the health care center in Nigeria that we were recently awarded a grant to help build. We hope to share a Zoom meeting with the Maryland Club in Nigeria and our Club at a future date.
