Our presenter will be Mike Waldron from the 23rd Veteran which is the charitable organization with the Dragonboat Festival. 

Duties will be: Invocation - Matt, Fellowship - David Lewis, Greeter - Lisa Neitzel. 

 

Thank you to everyone who made program recommendations and lined up speakers we now have programs scheduled until the end of June except for May 19th which we can fill. 

 

Guests at last week's meeting were Alex Schult (prospective Skyliner), Dan Dock, and Liv Birkeland Hermantown Student Rotarian and daughter of past Skyliner Jon. We celebrated Trish Crego's birthday with cupcakes. Our presenter was Joe Wicklund, 

Communications and Community Engagement Director for the City of Hermantown. Joe talked about the Hermantown sales tax that was used to fund the new ice arena. He spoke about the historic Jackson Homes preservation. Joe demonstrated the interactive map that allows community feedback on developments within the City.

Joe is also the baseball coach for Denfeld High School. 

 

Next week our meeting will be the Executive Committee of the Dragonboat Festival. 

 

The May Skyline Board meeting is on the 9th at noon at Bent Paddle and by Zoom. Lunch will be served.   

   

Tom Meyer is working on a design for a Ronald McDonald House Pop Tab public area collection box. When he has it designed we will build it. Thanks Tom for taking the lead on this.
