SELL PEACHES! THE TRUCK ARRIVES THIS FRIDAY 8/20 AT SAM'S CLUB.
This Friday we will meet at the truck site on the west side of Sam's Club. There won't be a Zoom meeting as we should be busy with peaches. Peach tickets say that we will start selling at 11:00, but we can expect excited peach buyers there earlier. Lunch will be Sam's Club pizza as we work. We will need lots of help on Friday until 7:00 PM which is always the busiest time, but Saturday should be busy too. Sunday we will need trucks to haul any remaining peaches to local cideries and breweries.
Last week we met at the Hermantown Outdoor Classroom. We made good progress on repairing the benches/tables, but they will need some 2x4s replaced later. There is more work to be done to prepare the building for its next twenty years of use. In last week's Skyliner I forgot to mention that we cleaned our section of the highway (thanks Hugo), and that Lisa Neitzel was featured in this month's the Woman today magazine including a picture of her attending this year's Changing of the Guard.
Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Club of the Northland for receiving two awards at the Greater Midwest Council meeting in July. They received the Hall of Fame and Outstanding Program Awards. Our own Todd M. Johnson received the Hall of Fame award for being, "A True Advocate for Children". The Outstanding Program was awarded for bringing mental health services to youth at the clubs. Rotary Club #25, the College of St. Scholastica, and local mental health providers provided support for the Program.

There have been questions about how to pay your dues. At this time there are two ways; pay Judy at the Friday meeting, or mail a check to the Skyline Rotary P.O. Box 15103, Duluth, MN 55815. We are working on making electronic payments possible.
Please plan to attend Garret's golf outing this Thursday 8/19 5:00 at Nemadji.
