We will meet at the DECC Duluth Curling Club this Friday the 18th. This won't be a hybrid meeting. You will have a chance to curl or to learn to curl. Bring a spare pair of shoes that you haven't worn outside and flexible clothes. Duties are: Invocation - Todd E. Johnson and Fellowship - Hugo Hietapelto. We are all aware of the humanitarian crisis that the war in Ukraine has caused. Rotary International is responding. Bob Sherman will talk about how he is responding by working with Clubs in Warsaw, Poland that are already providing refugee relief, and how we can assist in that effort. Bob is going to Warsaw next week to gain a better understanding of the needs. We are working with our District to apply for a $25,000 expedited Disaster Response Grant to help refugees in Poland. These efforts are all happening quickly. We can all be proud that Rotary and Rotarians are responding to this call for help.
Next week's Friday meeting 3/25 will be back at the YMCA. Our presenter will be the new Executive Director of the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce, Matt Baumgartner. Duties will be: Invocation - Mark Leutgeb and Fellowship - Tim Leutgeb.

Last Friday our presenter was Andrew Haukebo from the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank. Andrew welcomed the idea of meeting at their facility on a Friday and then spending some volunteer time. We are looking at a date in late April. Hopefully we can use this meeting to restart our volunteer efforts with Second Harvest.
March is Rotary Water and Sanitation Month.
Our Club's District grant Nigeria project is a WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) project. Our funding is providing the water well system and the mound sanitation system for the Health Care clinic.
