This Thursday evening July 1 is the Changing of the Guard Dinner at Barkers Island Inn with Happy Hour at 5:30 and Dinner at 6:00. Also, your choice of Chicken or veggie lasagna for dinner.
There will be no regular Friday meeting due to the Changing of the Guard Dinner.
Last week we met at the Hermantown Elementary School Outdoor Classroom. We began releveling some of the pavers that were no longer sitting flat due to wet conditions and the freeze thaw cycle. We scoped out a set of projects that will make the Outdoor Classroom even more enjoyable for students young and old to use. The projects are: installing a gutter and downspout on the low side of the roof to carry away the water (standing water on the pavers caused them to become uneven), repairing the bench/tables (these are locally available), installing a fire ring, and installing a handicap accessible pathway from the asphalt path to the classroom.
July is Rotary New Leadership Month.
The Board approved reinstating Jeramy Katchuba as a member of our Club. Welcome back Jeramy.
Thanks to all who volunteered on the set up and tear down for the Air Show last weekend.
