This Friday is a work project at at the Boulder Lake Environmental Center. Do not use your GPS to get you there as it will take you to the wrong place. There won't be a Zoom meeting. I will send a map immediately after the Skyliner goes out. Some members of the Eco Rotary Club will join us. We will install a pollinator garden on the roof of the bunk house and then measure the shore house window openings for screens, for window shutters, and an opening for a door. The screen house repair project will be done at a later date. We will start before lunch, eat lunch, and finish up early afternoon. Wear work clothes and gloves. Tools and materials will be on site. There will be no Duties as this will be a work project.
Wednesday, May 18th from 4:00-6:00 is the May Board meeting and the 2022-2023 Planning Meeting. All members are welcome to attend in-person or by Zoom. The meeting will be held at the Minnesota Power Employees Credit Union, 342 W Superior St., Suite 100. There will be a Club Assembly held on May 27th to discuss the 2022 - 2023 Plan with the Club.
We had a great party at the Caddyshack last Friday evening. Thank you to Lisa and Tim for organizing it.
Saturday, May 21st 9:00 AM start we will be back at the Valley Youth Center working on raised bed gardens. Demo work to remove the previous timbers will be done so we will be installing the block enclosures.
Last week's presenters were Amber and David Lewis. They spoke about both Uniting for Democracy and the Lyceum movement. These are both efforts to engage people to meet and to work together to advance democracy.
May is Rotary Youth Services Month. Our projects at Boulder Lake and VYC will serve youth.
