There will be a noon meeting this Friday, April 21st, 2023 at the YMCA. Our presenter will be Joe Wicklund, Communications and Community Engagement Director for the City of Hermantown.
Duties will be: Invocation - Tom Meyer, Fellowship - Todd M Johnson, Greeter - Judy Harrison.
This Saturday the 22nd is the Lincoln Park Spring Cleanup. Meet at 10:45 at Ursa Minor Brewing 2415 West Superior Street.
Guests at last week's meeting were Jason Young (soon to be a Skyliner transfer from the Superior Club), Alex Schult (prospective Skyliner), Bill and Cindy Ortman guests of Kris Lee, and Liv Birkeland Hermantown Student Rotarian and daughter of past Skyliner Jon.
Thank you for all of the program ideas. Very helpful and will keep us having good programs for the upcoming months. Equal As One President Mark Zack wrote a letter thanking our Club for our help with the healthcare clinic in Nigeria. Thank you to Joe and Deb for wiring funds to the Frederyk Chopin Club in Warsaw to support a Rotary grant that purchased a van to transport refugee women and children from their housing to the Refugee Center for healthcare, childcare, and education.
Next week's meeting will be at the YMCA and the presenter will be Mike Waldron from the 23rd Veteran which is the charitable organization with the Dragonboat Festival.
Tom Meyer is working on a design for a Ronald McDonald House Pop Tab public area collection box. When he has it designed we will build it. Thanks Tom for taking the lead on this.
There will be a barbeque celebration of the Outlaw Bridge hosted by the Port Arthur Club on Saturday, July 1st held in Grand Portage. See the link below from Lake Superior Magazine for the history of the bridge built by Port Arthur and Duluth Rotarians. Road trip?

The Tri-District Conference will be a one-day in-person event at Madden's in Brainerd on Saturday, April 29th. The cost is $45. Register at imagine.rotarymidwest.org and plan to stay over to enjoy fishing or golf or both. Tom and Mark will be there.
April is Rotary Maternal and Child Health Month.
