Skyline Rotary Meets weekly on Fridays at 12:00 PM.
We will be meeting both virtually using Zoom and/or in person at the Duluth YMCA:
Duluth YMCA: 4289 Ugstad Rd. Hermantown, MN 55811 - Driving Directions

We will meet this Friday 4/17/2026 at the YMCA. We will meet in the room behind the main desk. Our presenter will be Tom Anderson speaking on the Dangers of Sulfide Mining (we had mix up with communication last week). Duties this week: Invocation by Mark.  We are expecting guests at this week's meeting: RYLA student Alee DeVlieger, Brad Jenson, and Jill Baum.

Student scholarship applications are due this Friday. We already have seven.

Today was our April Board meeting. We heard about a Twin Ports Clubs effort to make a significant contribution to Second Harvest.

April is Rotary International Environmental month. Zone 29 would like Clubs to do water related projects. ECO and Harbortown are doing a beach cleanup on Saturday, April 25th from 10:00-noon at Park Point (meeting at the shelter just west of the beach house). We can join them. Register as a guest at: https://duluthsuperiorecorotary.org/event/great-lakes-watershed-cleanup-and-unite-for-water/ Jill Baum from ECO will tell us more on Friday.

Guests last week were: Albert Vanafton, and Susan Meyer.
Our guest Albert lives in Silver Bay. He had been a member of the North Shore (Two Harbors) Rotary Club, and so was on our mailing list. We asked him to tell us about himself. He had a career that took him around the world to help teach about agriculture to help feed people in developing countries. A great career, and a very kind gentleman.

The Depot Foundation Circle of Friends is celebrating their 25th Anniversary on Tuesday, May 12th at 5:00 to recognize their annual award winners. Sign up until Friday April 24th at Depotfoundation.org Skyline is recognized in their newsletter for supporting the Arts for All Scholarship.
