Thank you to everyone who has sent their thoughts to us on Rosey's surgery. She is at the Benedictine Health Center for a couple of weeks before coming home. 

 

Greg is coordinating a service project this Saturday the 10th starting at 8:00 to paint indoors at the St. Ann's Residence at 330 E. 3rd Street. Paint and equiptment will be provided.    

 

The February Board meeting will be next Tuesday the 13th 12:00 at Bent Paddle. Lunch will be provided. All members are welcome to attend.

Gavin Tabbert, Ben Johnson, Alexander Johnson, Skyline PP Harry Podgorski, and Susan Dusek. 

Tom Meyer shared with us that his son John was deployed on Thursday and will be gone for a full year. John has a wife and two young children. Tom spoke of his mixed feelings of fear, sadness and pride. Our thoughts are with the Meyer family. 

PP Harry Podgorski talked about friendships and asked for help doing some indoor painting at St. Ann's Residence where he has been a long time Board member. Greg is organizing. 

We watched a video of RI PE Stephanie Urchick speaking at the International Assembly in Orlando on January 8th. The Assembly is the culmination of 3 years of training before the start of the new year for District Governors from all over the world. In her presentation she announced her theme of, The Magic of Rotary.

 

Russ told us that The Winter Out West Festival will be held February 9, 10, and 11 and that our Skyline Biker Group will be assisting with the fat tire bike riding event. Another project towards the 50. Russ is also pursuing ushering at the Playhouse as another project. Kevin is organizing Polar Plunge volunteering and Alex really wants to put a plunging team together. The festivities take place on Friday and Saturday February 16 and 17. Kevin has a sign up sheet.  

 

February is Rotary International Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention Month. February 23rd is the 119th anniversary of the start of Rotary.
