Merry Christmas.
There will be no meeting this week. Enjoy spending time with loved ones. Be safe so that we will find you healthy in the new year.
Last week we held the holiday auction which raised slightly more then we spent on gifts for our three holiday families this year. This showed once again the generosity of our Club. It showed the financial generosity of our members, but, even more importantly, the generosity of the spirit of our Club which we have experienced all year. It has been a difficult year for many of our members and their families and yet as we gather to meet or to work side by side each week there is a generosity of spirit that lifts us up. Joe and Hugo made the auction fun and productive, but the Club added to the fun with our usual good natured ribbing. Skyline has a special heart.
David Lewis joined us as a guest and Fred Rouse came as a visiting Rotarian. We accomplished some business in reviewing and voting to accept the revised Bylaws of the Rotary Club of Duluth Skyline. They will be posted in Clubrunner.
This Tuesday was the holiday dinner at Lifehouse. Skyliners donated money and cookies and helped to serve dinner to approximately eighty young people and families who may not have had a holiday meal otherwise.
We will not hold meetings on December 24th Christmas Eve or December 31st New Years Eve. Our next meeting will be Friday, January 7th, 2022.
