Above are students from the Northwest High School construction class building their 8' x 8' shed in the entryway to the Build North Expo last Saturday. Lindsey is the Chair of the Board of the Arrowhead Builders Association and this was their first Expo. Skyliners helped as greeters, ticket takers, and with the shed building adventure. Sheds were built by students and instructors from Wrenshall and Northwestern High Schools and then auctioned with the proceeds ($1,800 and $1,600) going back to the school construction programs. Thank you Skyliners. 

 

No meeting last week. I can't remember when we last cancelled a meeting due to bad weather. 

 

Emily shared that the Y got a grant for some projects that can use some Skyline construction work. The GAGA pit is one, then there are some benches and coat racks to be assembled. Sounds like our kind of projects. 

 

The Superior Rotary Club's 14th annual Craft Beer and Wine Tasting is coming up next Wednesday the 25th at Barkers Island Inn from 5:30 - 8:30. There will be Hors d'Oeuvres and a silent auction. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at superrotary.org See you there. 

 

March is Rotary International Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Month.
