The April Board meeting will be next week on Tuesday the 8th at noon at the MPECU office. All members are welcome to join us.

We have an opening on the Board for the Club Service position. Club Service organizes our social gatherings like picnics, golf outings, dinners, and other fun events. Please let Adam know if you are interested.

Guests last week were: Our speaker Patrick Hahn, Brian Trettel from the YMCA, Nidel and Emmerlee daughters of David, Paul guest of Deb, and Hermantown Student Rotarian Broden Bruhjell.

Adam reviewed the meeting with the YMCA Jeramy Katchuba and Emily Ranta. One of the promising activities is cosponsoring the YMCA Block Party that takes place during the Hermantown Days.

Our Guest Brian Trettel is the point person for the event. There are a number of other opportunities as well as Healthy Kids Day, and Teen Parties on Saturdays. These are all opportunities to raise our Club's visibility in the community.

Tom told us that the Duluth District Conference will be held October 24-26 and that the Friday night opening dinner will be held at the Depot.

Tom introduced Patrick Hahn who is District Director from Northern Star Scouting. Patrick is the District Executive for the Arrowhead

and Boundary Water Districts. Patrick gave a history of Scouting coming to America. He talked about Scouting programs that include summer day camps, STEM and trades based programs, the 453  people who achieved Eagle Scout including 40 girls, Law Enforcement and Fire Fighting Explorers programs. With all of the activities focused on youth there are lots of opportunities for Skyline to collaborate with Scouting as we have done in the past. Thank you Tom for bringing Patrick and the Scouting program to us.

April is Rotary International Environment Month.
