This Friday, October 6th we will meet at the YMCA. District Governor Dave Long will be our presenter. We will abbreviate our normal business (so no duties) to allow DG Dave time to speak. The Board will meet at 11:00 with Dave in our regular meeting room (this meeting will take the place of our regular October Board meeting).
Last week we met at Lester River Park to have lunch and help to set up the Lester River Rendezvous. We dodged the rain and got our work done according to Lindsey. We measured and spray painted lines on the field, put up sponsorship signs (including ours), moved and placed pumpkins, hay bales, and corn stalks throughout the park. Our regular guest Dan Dock came and helped.
This Wednesday, October 4th at 5:30 we will meet at Second Harvest 4503 Airpark Blvd to fill weekend backpacks for kids who may not have food otherwise on the weekend. The more the merrier. Bring family and friends.
Russ is working on details for the "Trunk or Trinket" event at the YMCA. MEA is October 20th so kids are out of school. We will park cars with trunks towards the soccer field next to the YMCA. Bring trinkets or healthy snacks for the kids from the daycare and ECFE and maybe other kids too starting at 10:30 until 1:00. The Club will bring some healthy snacks and trinkets too.
Rose pick up is Friday, October 13th from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
October is Rotary Community Economic and Development Month.
