We will meet at the YMCA this Friday the 11th, and it will be a hybrid meeting. Duluth Fire Department Chief Shawn Krizaj will be our presenter. He will talk about his career, the DFD, water rescue, and Rock the Skyline.

The Tri-District Conference was cancelled, but there will be a District 5580 Virtual Conference held on April 21 and 22. More details to come.
Kris Lee has made arrangements for our Friday meeting on March 18th to be a visit to the Duluth Curling Club at the DECC. This is your chance to try curling if you have never done it before. Think about bringing family and friends who might want to try curling. We will have lunch and those of us with bad knees will watch and perhaps have a beverage from the restaurant. Who knows, you could be the next Olympic curler. Thank you Kris.
Thank you to Tom Meyer last week for his Past President duty standing in for President Matt and for providing lunch. Well done Tom! Guests were Sarah Boynton, and Dan Dock. Russ inducted Crystal Bowen, Membership Experience Director at the YMCA, into the Club. Crystal is a Duluth Central and Bemidji State University graduate. Previously she has worked for the United Way and baseball teams in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Arizona. Please make Crystal feel welcome to Skyline.
We just learned that Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is planned for this summer. This is a life changing experience for youth from our District. Skyline has regularly paid to send local high school students to attend this week-long camp held at the U of M Crookston Campus. Dates for the camp are July 10 - 16. You can learn more at: www.district5580ryla.org Russ will keep the Club informed about the process including the student selection.
On Saturday, February 5th approximately 60 people attended the virtual One Rotary Summit. Rotarians from around the District met in breakout groups to discuss Membership, Public Image, and The Rotary Foundation. We learned from other Clubs how they are increasing their Club's impact, adapting to current challenges, expanding the impact of Rotary in their communities, and enhancing member experience in their Clubs. These are the four action steps from the Rotary International Strategic Plan.
Lisa Neitzel and her company are working on the design for the roll up sign (like our 4-Way-Test) to post in front of our meetings.
Next week's program will be the rescheduled Russia program by Bob Sherman. Duties will be: Invocation - Greg Kaake and Fellowship - Suzanne Anderson.
