Peaches will arrive on Friday, August 14th on the west side of Sam's Club. They are the same price as last year: $45 for a full lug, and $25 for a half lug. Peaches are available to order on our website skylinerotary.org A facebook page announces the sale and has a link to order from our website. Tim will have tickets at Friday's meeting. Please direct customers to the website and let them know they can drive up and purchase as well.
A YMCA staff person brought in a big bag of pop tops that Mark delivered to the Ronald McDonald House. Nice to be working with the YMCA. Emily thanked the Skyline crew that helped with the Summerfest Block Party and announced the happy news that she and Zach are having a baby in November.
The Skyline team for the 8/7 Valley Youth Center Golf outing is set with Joe, John, Tom, and Mark.
Jim is planning a social gathering for October working with Tom Hansen.
Guest last week was Harbortown Past President and former Skyliner Brad Jenson.
Brad spoke about the Twin Ports Rotary Interclub Council and the following offerings related to Lifestyle Wellness and Healthy Longevity. These are areas of special focus, study, training, and writing for Brad.
The first learning opportunity is a 7 Zoom sessions program based on "The Foundational Life Pyramid" starting on Tuesday August 18 7-8:15 PM through September 29. To register by 8/7 send an email to bradleyjenson1956@gmail.com or call 218-349-7566.
The second opportunity is a Twin Ports Pickleball mixed doubles league that plays twice per month starting in September. Day passes are available to play inside at the Y. If you are interested contact Brad.
The third iniative is a book reading and discussion. The book is, "The Art and Science of Thriving in Life's Second Half". The discussion will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2027 by Zoom from 7-9 PM.
