Change of plans this week due to rain forecasted for Friday. We won't be clearing the biking trail. That project will get rescheduled. After a long weekend of peach selling let's take a Friday off. So no Friday meeting this week, but come join us for music, a peach fest, and some cider on Thursday evening 4:30 - 9:00 (we will sell some peaches too) at Duluth Cider 2307 W Superior Street on the patio.
We still have a long way to go to sell out our peaches this year. If you can sell a few more please do so. You can have customers pick up peaches at Duluth Cider or we can arrange to deliver them. They are staying cold and so will not ripen further.
Next week on Friday, September 3rd we will meet at the YMCA and District Governor Keith Brokke will be our guest and speaker. Please plan to attend the meeting. The Board will meet with DG Brokke at 11:30 and discuss our plans for the year.
Last week at the peach sale we saw many old friends. Karl Norman spent Friday with us. It was great to see him. Joe Addy helped out. Wade Petrich and sons helped. We saw Harry Podgorski, Patty Yax Nelson, Betty Eklund, Brad Jenson, Malcom Macauly, Clyde Finch, and did the Peaches Cheer with Jim Caesar. The favorite peach pick up vehicles this year were the Maserati and the vintage winged convertible Cadillac.
Garett's Golf Outing had three foursomes and a good time was had by all.

The Valley Youth Center is hosting a Golf Tournament at Grandview Golf Course on Friday the 27th. 1:30 Shotgun start. Check with Russ if you would like to sponsor or play.
Superior Sunrise Rotary Club is hosting a Golf Tournament on Friday, September 10th at Nemadji in Superior. It is a 9:00 AM shotgun start. There are prizes and an after party. Who wants to join me?
