Plans are being made for an all Clubs Thanksgiving Lunch on Wednesday, November 25th at the Gitch. We won't have a meeting the day after Thanksgiving so this will be a fun all Twin Ports Clubs gathering. We will also use it as a fundraiser with financial donations going to the Salvation Army.
Guests last week were: our presenter Blake Eaton, Susan Meyer, and Downtown Rotarian Dan Dock.
Blake Eaton grew up in Hermantown. He was paralized from the waist down from birth and ultimately ended up competing in the 2026 Winter Paralympics in 2026 in Italy. Blake started skiing when he was 3 years old. He started racing when he was 13. Blake attended UMD and then continued online when he moved to Park City, Utah to have better opportunities for training. Blake talked about his Olympic downhill run at 50 MPH including a jump. What a great story of overcoming tremendous obstacles and succeeding. Thank you Russ for brining this program to us.
October is Rotary Community Economic Development Month.
