This evening Tuesday, April 11th at 5:30 will be the rescheduled joint 2023 Superior and Skyline Dragonboat Festival kickoff meeting at Barker's Island Inn restaurant on their upper deck area. All Skyline members are invited. This will be a chance to meet the Superior Club members who will be heading up committees and working on the Festival. The 23rd Veteran is a charitable partner in the Festival and Charlie Johnson has scheduled Mike Waldron from the group to speak to our Club on Friday, April 28th.

 

This Friday we will have a casual meeting because we are struggling to plan for presenters. So, at this Friday's lunch meeting please come prepared with two things; a recommendation for a speaker topic or specific speaker (we will be happy to track them down and get them scheduled), and a short personal story to tell that can be about your Rotary history, your career, your family or friendships, mentors, or any topic that will help us to get to know one another better. I already know that Tim will talk about the Cheech and Chong Corporation. Duties will be: Invocation - Brian Tasky, Fellowship - Rob Shamblott, and Greeter Todd Peyton.    

 

Skyline Board meeting is TODAY Tuesday, April 11th at noon at Bent Paddle. Lunch will be served. This will be an in-person and Zoom meeting.    

 

Tom Meyer is working on a design for a Ronald McDonald House Pop Tab public area collection box. When he has it designed we will build it. Thanks Tom for taking the lead on this.

The Tri-District Conference will be a one-day in-person event at Madden's in Brainerd on Saturday, April 29th. The cost is $45. Register at imagine.rotarymidwest.org and plan to stay over to enjoy fishing or golf or both. 

 

April is Rotary Maternal and Child Health Month.
