We will meet this Friday 12/13 at the YMCA. This week's meeting is the Holiday Family Auction. A fun Skyline tradition to raise money for our Holiday Family presents. Bring a wrapped present that is in about the $25 range. Good luck bidding for a good cause.
We will be working with the Hermantown Elemantary School for our Holiday Family again this year. The teachers asked that we provide the gifts to them by December 12th at the latest. They also asked that we not wrap the gifts, but just identify them with tags for the sex and age for the three kids. We will change our plans and shop, label, and deliver the gifts on Thursday the 12th. Our task will be quicker. There are three kids that we are shopping for. Let's shop at 9:00 at the Hermantown Walmart, go back to the YMCA to label the gifts, and then deliver them to the Hermantown Elementary school.
Last Friday Greg passed around a Salvation Army Bell Ringing schedule and the time slots were filled for the 12th, 18th, and 19th. Good job Greg, Garret, and Skyliners.
The Life House Christmas/Holiday Dinner is December 18th. Skyline provides cookies. They need lots of cookies (chocolate chip, Sugar, or any other except no nuts please). Please put 6 of the same type of cookie in a ziplock bag
(we can do this on site too). Plan to deliver to Life House by 2:30 or ask Mark to pick up. These young people really appreciate having a safe place to go for a really nice Holiday meal. Thank you Skyliners.
Guests last week were Student Rotarians from Proctor Emma McDonald and Ahnika Pampuch, visiting Rotarian from Wayzata Andy Thielen, and Downtown Rotarian Dan Dock.
We started the meeting by inducting John Senich into the Club. Welcome John! John told us about his wife Courtney and their three kids Ben, Carly, and Ethan. He told us that he grew up in Hibbing where his Dad was a Rotarian for over 25 years. John worked for UnitedHealth Group for 21 years before starting his business The Entrepreneur's Source which assists people with their career transitions.
