The last of the peaches that we held back were delivered today and a pallet was picked up by Second Harvest. There was an awesome effort put forth on Friday morning when we had a two block long line waiting for us to unload the truck. We had great help from Skyliners young and old. Kris took some great pictures which I'm sure that she will share. Tim has made multiple bank deposits and will continue to as you turn in the last of your peach money. Customers had to pay for the peaches, but the entertainment was free. In all seriousness, it was heart warming to see the hard work, the fellowship, families helping, customers loving their peaches, younger members jumping in, and a great team effort. Many thanks to the many helpers.  

 

This Friday, September 2nd we will be back at the YMCA and our speaker will be Baihly Warfield an Anchor/Reporter from WDIO/TV. She should have some great stories to tell about her broadcasting career, and maybe they will sign on to sponsor Rock the Skyline. Duties will be; Invocation - Tom Meyer, Fellowship - Todd M. Johnson, and Greeter - Todd Peyton. 

 

An important note for those of you who send mail to the Skyline Rotary mailbox. The Miller Hill Post Office where our box was is closing. The Club's new P O Box is 563, Duluth, MN 55801. The new address is on our website and has been reported to RI.   

 

August is Rotary Membership Month.
