Congratulations to Russ on becoming the President of the West Duluth Business Club. Kevin passed around a sign-up sheet for the Polar Plunge on February 16 & 17. The Plunge supports the Special Olympics. 

The 2024-2025 Skyline Board was announced and approved on a voice vote. The Board will be President - Adam Daoust, President Elect - Kevin Kalligher, Treasurer - David Lewis, Secretary - Tood M Johnson, Club Service - Russ Salgy, Community Service - Garret Suihkonen (with an assist from Greg Kake), International Service - Mark, Rotary Foundation - Jason Young, Youth Services - Alex Schult, Past President - Tim, Public Image - Lisa Neitzel, Club Administration - Judy Harrison, and Membership TBD. Thank you for your service. 

The Member Satisfaction Survey revealed a general satisfaction with the Club experience. Two points of note were requests for more information about Rotary International which we will do with Club programs, and more social events that engage new members and give us a chance to get to know them better. We can do that too. Thank you for participating in the survey. 

 

Note that Russ has us scheduled for a "Sweetheart Dinner" (I think that the name was Chris' idea) at the Hammond Steak House on the evening of Friday, February 9th. 
So no meeting that afternoon to save up your appetite for dinner.  

 

January is Rotary Vocational Service Month. The concept of vocational service is rooted in the second object of Rotary which calls for Rotarians to encourage and foster: High ethical standards in business and professions, The recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and The dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society.
