There will be no duties. At 12:30 we will head north on 53 to a right on Cirrus Drive to 4515 Taylor Circle by 12:45 to tour the facility. You must bring a photo ID to get in.
There won't be a meeting this Friday the 26th. Have a good Memorial Day weekend.
We are just 2 weeks out from our Friday, June 2nd 50th Anniversary Picnic at Enger Tower Park. Rotarians, families and friends are welcome. See the flyer on our website. Local Clubs and the District have been invited.
Guests at last week's meeting were Colton Suihkonen and Dan Dock. We received thank yous from the Proctor and Hermantown Chemical Free Graduation Party committees for our support. Changing of the Guard will be Thursday evening July 13th.
Lindsey Whitlinger told us about the Lester River Rendezvous which will be held this year September 28 through the 30th. Thursday and Friday are the Education Days where local schools send 4th and 5th graders to experience hands-on-history with people in character and demonstrating crafts from the Voyageur's era. Saturday is the day open to the public with vendors and crafts. Lindsey helped to revive and grow the Rendezvous. She identified some volunteering and sponsoring options for us to consider.
Tom Meyer is working on a design for a Ronald McDonald House Pop Tab public area collection box. When he has it designed we will build it. Thanks Tom for taking the lead on this.
May is Rotary Youth Service Month.
Thought for the Week
"We have a powerful potential in our youth, and we must have the courage to change old ideas and practices so that we may direct their power toward good ends".
