We will be meeting this Friday 11/21 at the YMCA. Our program will be by John Cole Executive Director of Chum. Duties this week are; Invocation - Mark, Fellowship - Chris.
We are planning for our usual holiday events including supporting Life House dinners, a holiday family, bell ringing, and a Holiday Auction. Check the calendar for when those events and no Friday meeting due to the holidays are scheduled. If you have a program or a project that you would like to schedule it will need to be for after 1/9/2026.
You should all have received an email from Russ about the VYC annual fudge sale. The fudge is exceptional, and he promises to have some at our meeting this Friday.
Our guests last week were: Student Rotarians from Proctor Jaiden Dingman and Cadence Madison and from Hermantown Easton Sinnott, and Jim Vos Counselor from Proctor Schools.
Kevin showed off our spiffy new Skyline tent. Thank you to Lisa and all others who collaborated on this. Plans for our fundraiser on Saturday, February 28th at the Aad Shriners Event Center are coming together with a committee. There will be music, food, cider and beer tasting, and a silent auction. Jason awarded a two saphire pin to Chris and a 5 saphire pin to Jim. Thank you both for your support for the Foundation. Alex gave us an update on her health issues, and we are all wishing the best for her on her healing.
Graig introduced our own Trish Crego who is now the Utility and Infrastructure Director for the City of Hermantown. She works with right of ways, stormwater, and easments for trails. She showed the comprehensive plan that will connect all of the trails in the next three years. The trails are year-round use for all non-motorized vehicles and hopefully will connect to the Munger Trail. There are opportunities for Skyline to support the trail system with brush trimming, cleanup, and funding. Memorials on the benches are reserved for local families. Trish suggested a Rosey bench. Thank you Trish for presenting on short notice. It is always great to see you.
