Guest Speaker: Dr Bryn Thompson

After 19 years as a community GP, Bryn started work at Auckland Regional Public Heakth Service in early 2017. He is passionate about wellness and disease prevention so he says it is exciting to be part of the team, aiming to improve the health of Aucklanders.

Areas he currently contributes to include enteric diseases, acute rheumatic fever, outbreaks and house officer supervision. Until mid-2020, he also worked part-time as a GP for the Refugee Health Screening Service at the Māngere Refugee Resettlement Centre. Also 14 years he presented a radio health segment on Newstalk ZB, stopping to allow more time at my sons’ Saturday football games.

He will provide some interesting updates on Covid-19 and other communicable diseases, etc.
