Central Lakes Rotary members and guests enjoy December 8th Holiday gala

"Be a Gift to the World" was the theme for Central Lakes Rotary's December 8th holiday gala.  Held at Bites Restaurant, 47 partiers attended the gala, including 18 guests.  Joining the Rotarians were Rick Bricker, our Assistant District Governor, Kyle Tscheda, our exchange student, along with his parents Bill & MerrieTscheda. Also joining the Central Lake Rotarians were Bill & Helen Dobson, 2 Brainerd Rotarians and their wives, along with 5 STRIVE guests including the new Pine River-Backus principal Andrew Forbort and his wife Emily.  The sale of 20+ silent auction items raised about $1500 which will be used to help defray Kyle Tscheda's expenses as our exchange student.  Bob McLean facilitated a "Top 10 Central Lakes Rotary Minutes" engaging club members in sharing their favorite Rotary Service projects for the year.  A choral group provided entertainment beyond what the Rotarians and their guests provided just by being themselves!!
This year's gala was held in a beautiful holiday setting with very good food, great conversation and excellent Rotary spirit!
