1) Attached is the agenda for our meeting this Wednesday at 6:30pm. A Board Meeting will follow.
2) If you have missed a meeting, please send your make-up to Kelly Daum, our new club Secretary. kellydaum15@gmail.com. Or if you have volunteered at a Rotaract event such as Trivia Night or sub-committee meeting, send this to Kelly and she can bank it for a future meeting you may need to miss.
3) Below are the minutes from our 2017 Planning meeting held on December 7th.
We discussed our current events and decided to continue on with Dragon Boat festival and the Pub Crawl. The volleyball tournament will not be an event for the 2017 calendar year.
3. Business Arising
This year we will be piloting a spring pub-crawl to take place on Thursday, April 13th. Kelly and Cynthia will join forces with Jonathan to get the ball rolling in the New Year.
We are exploring the idea of a comedy night with an “Anti-Valentine’s Day” theme. Andrea has offered to look into this for us with the assistance of other members.
Other event ideas that we were discussed include:
Lip sync contest
Sports tournament such as road hockey.
Themed run/colour run.
Paint Night.
Yoga in the Park.
Sports Fantasy League.
2017 priority – membership.
4. Funding
We have decided that our international funding project for 2017 will be the Es Artes Project.
Local Projects to consider: Skate Park, Soccer recreational facility.
