May 18th Meeting
Hello Everyone,
 
I hope everyone is doing well. 
 
1) Our next meeting is this Thursday May 18th at 6:30pm. I don't have a formal agenda but rather a couple fun activities on top of our regular updates. 
 
2) Thank you to all of those who were able to make it to the club social at the start of the month. 
 
3) If you have missed a meeting, please send your make-up to Kelly Daum, our new club Secretary. kellydaum15@gmail.com. Or if you have volunteered at a Rotaract event such as Trivia Night or sub-committee meeting, send this to Kelly and she can bank it for a future meeting you may need to miss. 
 
4) Below are the minutes from our previous meeting.

Genevieve – Classification
  • Lives on dairy farm outside of Tavistock.
  • Prefers to spend time in the city where there are lots of people.
  • Family is from Switzerland and has been to visit once.
  • Works at Pazzo – she washes dishes and whatever else needs to be cleaned; helps with food preparation. Has been working there for four years.
  • Passionate about the Blue Jays – watches every game and wishes for them to win the World Series.
  • Favourite moment – the famous bat flip!
  • Another favourite moment – when she got to go to see the Rangers play the Blue Jays.
  • Likes to travel – would like to go Tampa Bay, England, California, Chicago, Dominican, Seattle, Vancouver.
  • Wants to meet Danny Valencia.
  • Loves to scrapbook, plays guitar, loves to be around people.
  • Always looking to meet new people.
  • Joined the Rotaract club to meet new people and get involved in events. Enjoys helping with trivia and the comedy show.
  • Has a blue jays hat signed by Jimmy Campbell, podcaster.

  • 4.1 Upcoming Guest Speakers
    • May 3rd – Club Social – Bowling
    • Erie drive in for dinner at 6:30 – meet there.
    • Rain plan – boston pizza.
    • Bring your friends!
    • RSVP by May 1st please so that lanes can be reserved.
    • $40.00 per lane for a lane or $52.00 for an hour and a half.
    • Let’s say flat rate $15.00 per person – excess comes to the club.
    • Setup Facebook.

    • Kelly for doing the pub crawl and Jonathan and Cynthia.
    • To Raks and Andrea for helping with registration.

  • 5.2 Announcement Corner (Updates from committees, future events, round table)
    • Special Olympics Soccer
      • Urgent need of volunteer to help with summer program. This volunteerism is separate from the club.
    • Trivia – raised money for Optimism Place.
