Dear friends,

 

This Thursday's meeting will hear something a little bit different! Our guest will be David Moreton, a Canadian who has dedicated himself to the act of pilgrimage.  David lives and works on the island of Shikoku in Japan, where there are over 100  Buddhist temples and sacred sites,  visited by pilgrims (henro) for nearly a millennium into the present day.  David has acted as a guide and ambassador for many on this pilgrimage for over 20 years, in addition to his varied career as an educator.  I'm sure you will be interested to learn about this "journey of the soul", and how pilgrimage enriches the human community.

 

 

Great news! We have exceeded our  fundraising goal and thus far raised $745 for Shelterlink and the Stratford Connection Centre.  Let's not stop there. Last meeting we heard just how critical their work is, and will continue to be, in meeting the crying needs of the newly vulnerable in Stratford and Perth.
