Hello friends!

 

Please join us this Thursday, December 20th at the Jobsite Brewery at 6:30 for our annual Holiday Social! If you haven't already, please let Rebecca Price know that you're attending! The event will be potluck and you can sign up here: https://doodle.com/poll/d3zgkhwkegc4nct4. Pizza will also be provided and you may purchase your beverages from the bar. There will be no formal agenda this week as we gather to celebrate our festive season, but I highly encourage you to sport your very best Ugly Christmas or Holiday Sweater. Please feel free to bring a friend or your family, all are welcome!

 

I want to take this opportunity to share my gratitude for all that the club has accomplished in a short period of time! We have welcomed SIX new members since July 1st and continue to give back to our community in both small and big ways! Congratulations on coming together so quickly to respond to an unfortunate event that impacted the House of Blessing. We were able to rally and provide $2,000 worth of donated goods! We are also about to wrap up our Angel Tree project, which is providing gifts to over 35 seniors in need.  As mentioned at our last meeting, our members have (and continue to be) involved in over 13 community events including meetings with other Rotary clubs, our Random Acts of Kindness, our fundraising events, and other community meetings and events. We continue to be present in our community across a variety of groups, sharing the good work we do. None of this would happen without the dedication and support from our members and the quick action from our board. Kudos to everyone and may the holiday season bring nothing but happiness and joy to you and yours.

It has been an honour and a privilege to serve as your president and I look forward to what 2019 brings for the club!
