Hello Everyone, Happy Canada Day! Mega Trivia Postponed Due to lower registration than hoped, Mega Trivia has been postponed until the fall. Thank you to Tyler and Rebecca for coordinating and working out all of the details. Once a date is set for the fall, we can promote the event then. July 5th Meeting Cancelled - Action Requested Instead Don't forget our July 5th meeting is cancelled (originally so we could volunteer at Mega Trivia). Since I don't have anything planned (and I'm going to theatre), I thought of a different idea in lieu of. Action: Over the next week or two, think of a local charity or organization that is near and dear to you. They may have helped you, a loved one or just really great at being there for our community. Call or email them, and see what they are in need of and how we might be able to help over the next year. You can either send your idea to me, or share with club at an upcoming meeting. This was done years ago by some club members, and that's when we found out that the youth at Shelterlink were sleeping on 50 year old mattresses! Yes - your read that right! 5-0! Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities Organization: Humane Society What: Paws in the Park. There will be vendors, food trucks, and activities. When: August 20th from 10am – 5pm Where: 125 Griffith Rd, Stratford, ON N5A 6S4 Responsibilities: Help with registration, running the activities, and setting-up/tearing down.
