Hello Rotaractors! Thank you to everyone who came out to our last meetings social! It was SO much fun! We are hoping to do a distance scavenger hunt in June as an opportunity to spend time outdoors.
Sarah Merkel has invited us to attend a community meeting about climate change. We are offering this meeting in lieu of our regular meeting. This is extra exciting for three reasons. Firstly, Sarah is going to be one of the speakers at this meeting (Yay Sarah!. Secondly, tt will help us get psyched up for our Community Clean up on April 22nd. Lastly, tt will inform us on the newest area of focus for the Rotary family. For a long time Rotary has six main areas of focus: Peace and conflict prevention/resolution, Disease prevention and treatment, Water and sanitation, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, Economic and community development. We are really excited for the 7th!
To attend this meeting you can go to the Climate Momemtum facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/climatemomentum) where they will be live streaming the event, or the following website to redirect you to the zoom link (http://climatemomentum.ca/community-meeting-transportation/)
There will not be minutes of this meeting, and Sarah has graciously agreed to take attendance. KUDOS Sarah!
Continue to "BElieve THEre is GOOD in the world"! Rebecca Price
