Sarah – Outgoing President: 2016/17 in Review
- Sarah presented our highlights from the last year. Please check out the bulletin to see the presentation!
- Sarah thanked the outgoing board and welcomed the incoming board.

- KUDOS to SARAH MERKEL for the last 18 months of leadership. Very well done.

5. Business Arising

5.1 Stratford Lawn Summer Night
- To raise funds for cystic fibrosis
- They have expanded this to two nights due to popularity
- There are still some openings on July 24^th – teams of 4 – entry is $120.00
- Dinner is included and it is a costume themed event

5.2 Announcement Corner (Updates from committees, future events, round table)
- Dragonboat – Mark your calendars for September 16, 2017 (Conflicts?)
  - Please let us know ASAP whether or not there are conflicts on this date as we are expecting folks to lend a hand if they are available. We will need to tap into other resources for volunteers if we have people unavailable that day so if you could please let us know as soon as possible, this will help greatly with planning.
  - Rotary is trying to find ways to put pep up the dragon boat festival. This year they will be trying something new – community teams of 10 people – please tell your friends!
  - Robert Ritz is the contact for this – you can let Sarah or Laurie know if you are interested.
- Trivia
  - July trivia is ALL CANADIAN with special guest Jon Kastner from the Stratford Perth Museum MC’ing. All proceeds will go to the museum.
- Pub crawl
  - Time to think about starting to plan our next pub crawl in mid summer.
- Host Family Opportunity
  - Student is coming from Mexico as part of the NGE program and looking for a host family from August 2^nd to early September.
  - If you are doing any fun activities that you think the student would enjoy, please include him.
- Arlene came to thank Sarah for her hard work. It was recognized how much Sarah took on with the club while welcoming a newborn into the world. Congratulations and thank you from Rotary. Welcome Laurie as incoming President. We look forward to the year ahead.
- Rotary would like to see Interact go into the other high schools (currently just in Central High). Looking for Rotaract Member to be liasson between the clubs and to join the committee. Meeting at revel at 8:00 June 27^th to discuss.
- Aqua Boxes Project
  - Looking for help with social media promotion of this project.
  - Campaign for summer / early fall
  - Looking for help with aqua box build as well
  - Great project to connect all of the club.
- July 13^th – Rotary picnic in the park. Please join if you can.
- Please remember that you are always welcome to attend rotary meetings.
